Giil Taws, is a Breton filmmaker who has taken on the roles of producer, writer, and director in both documentary and fiction genres. His cinematic journey began with "Lundi" (Monday), a powerful exploration of drug addiction. Following this, "Loa," filmed in the captivating landscapes of Iceland, delved into the realm of dreams, incorporating a striking surrealistic touch. One of his notable works, "The One Who Made It Rain," filmed in Mongolia and produced across Iceland and Brittany, earned recognition at festivals worldwide. This project also marked the start of his fruitful collaboration with cinematographer Istvan Borbas. Simultaneously, Giil Taws directed a full-length documentary titled "Gathering with the Men of Sioa," providing a captivating glimpse into the world of Icelandic farmers as they shepherd thousands of sheep in South Iceland.
