Leo Staar is a British actor known for his work across television, film, and theatre, with a career spanning over two decades.
He is perhaps best recognised for his recurring role in the BBC series Call the Midwife, where he appeared over three seasons, as well as appearances in a wide range of acclaimed dramas including Lewis, Death in Paradise, Endeavour, Silent Witness, The Chelsea Detective and Van der Valk.
His film work includes roles in The 355, alongside an international ensemble cast. He has also appeared in high-profile productions such as Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan and the critically regarded drama Summer of Rockets.
Earlier in his career, he worked opposite Rowan Atkinson in the ITV series Maigret, playing a key supporting role across multiple episodes.
More recently, Leo has appeared in the forthcoming Sky TV series The Possession, continuing to build a body of work characterised by understated, intelligent performances across a wide range of genres.
