Biography

Norman Lamb was born on September 16, 1957 in Watford, Hertfordshire, England, UK.

Solicitor, turned politician in the Liberal Democrats, the party for which he ran for leader in 2015. He is son of climatologist Professor Hubert Lamb, great-grandson of applied mathematician Sir Horace Lamb, and great nephew of painter Henry Lamb. His son is record producer Archie Lamb.

He was awarded the Knight Bachelor of the Order of the British Empire in the 2019 Queen's Birthday Honours List for his services to public and political service. He is the right honorable Member of Parliament.
