Biography

  • Brandi has come a long way from her birthplace of Ft Myers, Fl. Raised in South Carolina by her parents Bruce and Sally, both of whom are in the medical profession, Brandi is an only child who has taken dance for 11 years and has had a love of performing since she was a toddler. She saw a local beauty pageant and exclaimed she wanted to do that. She did, and won prettiest hair, eyes, and Miss Photogenic. Brandi soon realized she wanted to do more and found her passion at a school play in which she played a pesky horsefly. Brandi has done local community plays and musicals and won various awards for dance, singing, and acting. Brandi has been to NYC and LA several times and loves it in both locations. Brandi has trained at Lee Strasburg in NYC for a summer program and has a determination and strength to achieve her visions for her career in film. To do this Brandi became home-schooled and has plans and goals that align with her ideals and passions. She graduated high-school 2 years early, in 2013, at the age of 15. She continues to grow as a singer, dancer, and actress, and looks forward to a move to Los Angeles to continue her pursuit of her main passion, acting. Now, at the age of 16, she currently resides in Pennsylvania and is a short train ride away from the Big Apple. She is also trained in American Karate, in which she recently gained her first degree black belt. Brandi is also an accomplished screenwriter. Her second short film script, "Tiger Lili", a dramatic coming-of-age story of a young girl dealing with domestic violence, made it into the Beverly Hills Film Festival, as well as many others. She also helped to write the short films, "Two Rounds" and, "No Brainer", in which she also starred. She herself penned, "The Silver Key", which was her first lead role, as well as screenplay. Brandi has written her first feature film script and is in the lengthy process of editing. Brandi has also garnered two Young Artist Award nominations. Her first in 2012 for Best Young Actress - Short Film for her realistic portrayal of the autistic pre-teen, Jenny Hastert in Broken Pieces. Her second in 2013 for Best Web Performance - Young Actress for the portrayal of the confused teenaged witch battling forces of evil, Michelle Smith in The Dark One (Season 1).
