Streaming Stars, Then and Now

Heidi Mumford-Yeo is a British actress, writer and producer.

In 2022, Heidi received her Masters degree from Cambridge University. She has also has a Law degree from Durham.

Scouted while she was at university, she worked as a fashion model, appearing at London Fashion Week and the Designer of the Year. She appeared in television commercials and beauty campaigns before going on to train as an actress in London.

In early 2019, Heidi created & wrote her debut television drama series, Tell Me Why, which was optioned in 2021 by Beyond Entertainment. Now a feature film, Tell Me Why is in pre-production with Goldspin Films with BAFTA and EMMY nominated director, Ursula Macfarlane attached.

Heidi has worked in the West End, with lead roles in independent feature films, shorts, and television commercials. One feature film, 'Porichoi,'' required her to learn part of the script in Bengali alongside Indian superstar Prosenjit Chatterjee.

"In both acting and writing, I like challenges and inverting stereotypes. I fight against preconceptions. I like characters who have lived and people who can't be pigeonholed - outliers, I suppose you could say. Show me a character most people would find unbearable, and I'd like to think I can show something redeeming about them. I don't look at people as absolutes. I think that's dangerous and incredibly limiting."

Heidi lives in London with her husband & two dogs, Indiana Jones and Freddy.

I&#39;d love to do some French films. For me French cinema is the most inspiring, the most beautiful. I probably watch more French films and television than anything else. I spent so much time in France growing up I feel like I want to be there more and more.
