Mayu Arimitsu

Mayu Arimitsu grew up as a daughter of art-loving parents in Tokyo, Japan. She has one younger sister who is an academic researcher. Inspired by a Broadway musical, Mayu started dancing at three. Her father's former job as a photography items dealer brought her to modeling at ten. However, growing up with exotic looks and westernized family education in a conservative Japanese society, she had a hard time not fitting in any communities and spent her youth exploring her identity. During her school years she binged foreign movies, which formed her interest to work as an actor. After graduating from Keio university, she learned Method and theatrical acting while participating in film, theater and TV projects.

She landed her first leading role in a short film 'Kichigai' in 2010. She has expanded her acting range through working on live action projects and lending her English & Japanese voice to more than a hundred voiceover clients.

In 2023, Mayu was selected one of 50 Pros in voice over category.
