It actually provides the fulfillment of never being fulfilled; you're never as good as you'd like to be, so there's always the hunger to constantly top yourself and continuously explore. The thing about acting, even if it's only an illusion, is that it is a celebration of the fact that there is an infinite possibilities within ourselves.
