Born in Athens, Tennessee, raised in West Palm Beach, Florida, Kelly Goodner is a screenwriter, the author of the "Sceneclopedia" series of filmmaking reference books, and was a Hollywood script consultant for nearly a decade. One of her parents' birthdays is Halloween and the other is Christmas Eve, which may be why she writes horror and Christmas movies. She lives in Los Angeles with her partner, director and film historian Jim Hemphill, several pets, and thousands of Blu-rays.
