Biography

Scott Deal is an American actor who began his career in stand-up comedy, earning early recognition after placing in the top ten of a major comedy contest hosted by a leading Atlanta radio station. After relocating to Los Angeles, he joined the comedy troupe Comics On The Spot and performed at venues across the United States, including The Comedy Store on the Sunset Strip and The Improv in Hollywood.

Deal studied the Meisner technique while in Los Angeles, which led to national commercial work and subsequent film and television roles. He appears as the co-lead in Paid in Full, winner of Best Picture and Best Ensemble Cast at the CSUF Film Festival. He continued his improvisational training at The Groundlings, further expanding his comedic range.

Deal's screen credits include acting opposite Peter Sarsgaard in the Golden Globe-nominated limited series Dopesick. Outside of acting, he enjoys mountain biking, camping, and other outdoor pursuits.
