Biography

Erica Juliet is an internationally recognized actress, writer, model, and producer whose dynamic storytelling spans film, television, fashion, and comics. Born in Los Angeles and of Filipino, Basque Spanish, French, Irish, English, and Swedish descent, she draws deeply from her multicultural roots to tell bold, globally resonant stories. Her father's family immigrated to Hawaii from the Philippines when he was a child, a legacy that grounds her deep connection to the islands and shapes her creative voice today.

At seventeen, Erica became the youngest MAC professional make-up artist and was interviewed by Teen Vogue for building a career in fashion at a young age. She opened the MAC Malibu store and later joined the brand's training and product development team, an early testament to her entrepreneurial spirit and artistic range.

She first broke through as "The Girl in the Red Dress" in Far East Movement's history-making, multi-platinum music video "Like a G6" - the first song by an Asian-American group to reach #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Her first professional modeling job led to being photographed by renowned photographer Estevan Oriol, images that helped her sign with top agencies and land campaigns for VH1, Apple, Axe, LG, Old Spice, MTV, Famous Stars and Straps, and more.

A sought-after model across Los Angeles, Bali, and Hawaii, Erica became a local supermodel during her eight-year career in Bali, working regularly throughout Indonesia. She has graced the covers of MAXIM, Dream Weddings Bali, Super Street, DSPORT, Freestyle Magazine, and Modern Luxury Jezebel, and has been featured multiple times in FHM (Philippines and Indonesia). Her work includes campaigns for top global brands such as Rip Curl, Billabong, Reef, Indah Clothing, and 69 Slam.

Her image has been immortalized by acclaimed street artist El Mac in major works on two continents. In Montreal, she is the subject of "La Mère Créatrice," a permanent public mural created over 300 hours as an homage to feminine creative power. In Milan, her likeness appeared in El Mac's contribution to Prada's Spring/Summer 2014 show, where murals exploring femininity and power transformed the Via Fogazzaro show space. These works place Erica's image at the intersection of street art, high fashion, and public installation.

Her acting career includes roles in Carmina, First Wives Club, NCIS: LA, Bones, 90210, Baby Daddy, Gang Related, Parks and Recreation, and Vin Diesel's The Ropes. Her role as "Juliet" in The Ropes was created specifically for her after Diesel, inspired by her poetry and presence, crafted the character around her.

She trained at Richard Lawson Studios, Ivana Chubbuck Studios, and with acclaimed coaches including Eric Morris and Wendy Peldon, while continuing to develop as a writer and filmmaker.

As a writer-producer, her work has screened at the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, the International Philippine Film Festival, and beyond. Her original projects include The Ones That Get Away, Baby on the Way, What You Don't Say, and Last Call.

Trained in martial arts from a young age, Erica holds a Red Sash 2 in Shaolin Kung Fu under 31st generation Grandmaster Shi Deru at the Shaolin Institute in Atlanta. Her competition achievements include winning Gold in Staff and Broadsword at the International Chinese Martial Arts Championship (ICMAC) in Orlando (2026) and Gold in Open Hand Forms at the KSF Atlanta competition in 2024 and 2025. Her practice includes weapons training in bo staff and broad sword, skills she brings to action-driven roles and her craft as a performer. With additional training in stunts and dance, she brings physical versatility and emotional depth to every role.

She was honored by the City and County of Los Angeles for her leadership and cultural impact in launching Diwata Komiks, an independent publishing label celebrating Filipino-American mythology and heritage.

Erica continues to develop original content across screen and comics, creating heroic, culturally rich narratives led by fierce female protagonists for a new generation of icons. She is currently based between Hawaii and Atlanta.

She grew up helping teach at her father's karate studio, where her martial arts journey first began.

She was part of the winning "Unguu" project for Globe in TransWorld SURF's inaugural Imaginarium photo challenge, earning the cover of the magazine.

Erica is a descendant of the Hatfield family of the infamous Hatfields and McCoys feud, adding a unique chapter to her Irish ancestry.

She is pursuing language studies in French, Chinese, and Hawaiian at the University of Hawaii, and continues to practice Bahasa Indonesia from her eight-year career in Bali.
