Alex Hansson was born on November 13, 1974 in Gothenburg, Sweden. His film-career started by directing effects driven music videos for the Swedish heavy-metal scene in the early 2000's, what he calls his self-schooling into the world of visual effects. He is known for his work on Borg vs. McEnroe, Monky and Chappaquiddick. If being asked if he has any hobbies beside work, "Travelling the world to see Metallica perform live. ..but besides that, my work is my hobby and passion. It has never been: "F*ck, I have to get up and go earn a paycheck. This profession has always been something I've wanted and I was driven to do".
