Biography

Darren Zimmer was born in Humboldt, Saskatchewan, Canada. Grew up on a family farm described as being 'in the middle of nowhere from at least three different directions'. Bitten by the Acting Bug in College, he later received his BFA from the University of Saskatchewan in 2009.

While acting in several production companies and theater groups in the Saskatoon area, helped to found Mini Fridge Dinner Theater, a dinner theater company which he performed with until he moved to Vancouver in 2020.

A member of the Land of Darkest Skies Writing Group - a content creation company of writers for TV and film. He has two brothers, two sisters and has an extended family too large to count, as well as three nephews, two nieces and three goddaughters, of which he is terribly proud.

In his spare time, he enjoys writing, stand up, reading, hiking and cooking delicious desserts for friends and family.
