Frankie Bourne

Frankie Bourne is an award-winning screenwriter, director and songwriter from the San Francisco Bay Area. After graduating from UC Santa Cruz with a degree in Film and Digital Media and Literature, he moved to Los Angeles to become a screenwriter and signed with his first literary manager at 22 years old for an original pilot that he pitched to HBO, Showtime and FX. His first job in the film/TV industry was working as a set production assistant for major studio movies including "The Amazing Spiderman" (2011) and "Star Trek: Into Darkness" (2012), before moving on to a diverse career as a freelance producer and assistant director for national ad spot commercials, major label music videos and independent narrative feature films. He has worked as a screenwriter, writer's assistant, story analyst and research producer in Los Angeles for clients including Penny Marshall, Trent Cooper and Don Most. Bourne/Rich is the creative literary partnership he shares with his creative writing partner Graham Rich. Their collective properties have recently won or placed in over a dozen screenplay competitions, including Best Screenplay at the 2023 Portland Film Festival. He produced and directed the documentary "It Didn't Just Happen" (2025) which screened at Skywalker Ranch in Marin County, CA via a personal invitation from George Lucas. He works as a multi-media Creative Director when he's not avidly writing and filmmaking.
