Biography

Janine (Parkinson) Canillas is a aviation journalist, filmmaker, and storyteller based in Los Angeles. A former Team Canada stick and knife fighting champion, she built her career around stunts and high-performance environments.

Her work has appeared in AOPA, The Guardian, and Business Insider, where she covers aviation, safety, and human performance.

Janine is also an award-winning filmmaker whose short film "Le Parking" won Best Comedy at the 2023 Make Me Laugh Film Festival. Whether in the cockpit, on set, or behind the keyboard, she is drawn to stories about courage, resilience, and pushing beyond perceived limits.
