Biography

Rachel Claudette Sellan is a French Canadian actor born in Welland, Ontario and raised in Fort Erie. She began pursuing acting early and was accepted into Niagara College’s Acting for Film and Television program, where she trained while auditioning and working in Toronto. Shortly after signing with her first agency, she relocated to Toronto following graduation and landed her first major film role in Silent Hill: Revelation (2012).

She went on to earn a principal role in the feature film The Sublet (2015), which premiered at the Whistler Film Festival, and continued expanding her range through ongoing training in acting, voice, and accents. In 2020, Sellan was cast in her first large principal role in a Hallmark film, followed by an appearance in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. She later played a featured role in the sci-fi feature Raptus (2023).

Alongside her on-camera work, Sellan is an active performer in Toronto’s live comedy scene. She has completed all levels of The Second City Improv Program and trained in Comedy Bar’s Pro Series. She regularly performs sketch and improv at Comedy Bar and has appeared multiple times at the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival with her troupe, Best By Far.

Sellan recently booked a recurring role on Ginny & Georgia Season 3 (2025) as a persistent reporter, followed by principal roles in several television films including Playing with Fire, A Nanny’s Deadly Discovery, I Survived a Serial Killer, and Thank God: Christmas at Keller Ranch (2025). She also appears as a socialite in the Netflix series I Will Find You and secured her first lead role in the feature The Night She Disappeared, portraying a single mother on a challenging personal journey. She will next be seen in multiple episodes of Jared Keeso’s I Kill the Bear, premiering on Crave in 2026.
