Hailing from Canada, Tim put down roots in Chattanooga, Tennessee in 2006.
Mentored by Dylan Kussman (screenwriter of The Mummy/Mission: Impossible - Fallout) and the late Bobby Stone (of Atomic Films), Tim Cofield has a talent for the big picture - how cinematography, music, sound design and humanity all come together artfully and intentionally to to tell a story.
Internationally Tim has traveled around the world filming documentaries and branded content. Tim was awarded the position of DP for "Born in Bristol" 2017 (dir. Chusy) which was his first feature film as DP. Tim has worked on ad campaigns for clients such as Cliff Bar, Gatorade, Disney, Team Kellogg's and Tennessee Tourism, Microsoft, Intel, IcyHot, HerbalLife all with Plan A Films USA. In 2018, two ads went to Cannes Film Festival (France) and won 5 Lions awards. Working as a cinematographer with Plan A Films, Tim has lensed celebrities such as Shaquille O'Neal, Dolly Parton, Vince Gill, Sheryl Crow, Garth Brooks, Brad Paisley, Jason Isbell and Citizen Cope.
Tim is also a musician and has directed dozens of music videos for award winning songwriters such as Leigh Nash, Angel Snow and Stephen Wilson Jr.
