-Samuel Thivierge was born in Saint-Félicien, Saguenay (in the province of Quebec, Canada). He studied at the Vancouver Film School. After a series of roles in short films starting in 2010, the Quebecker made his feature film debut with the sci-fi action film "Dominant Gene" (2011). In the same year, he saw his first screenplay - for the short film "Dead Simple" - brought to the screen, and was able to direct two short works. This was followed by an appearance in the cast of the thriller "In the End" (2012), before he made his theatrical debut with the sentimental drama "La fille du Martin" (2013). He kept one of the two most important roles for himself, so he had an on-screen love affair with Catherine Michaud in Lac-St-Jean (Quebec, Canada), right in the middle of the fishing world. The film - self-produced with $300,000 - had its world premiere at the 37th World Film Festival in Montreal, Canada. In addition, American film buffs were able to watch it thanks to its selection at the New York City Independent Film Festival. In 2015, the young Quebecer gained exposure on Chinese territory when the action production "Zhan lang" featured an explosive confrontation between an elite soldier and a group of mercenaries hired to do him in. The film topped the Chinese box-office on its release. Three years later, Samuel Thivierge did it again with the thriller "Identités", which he wrote, directed and starred in alongside Gilbert Sicotte and Samy Naceri. What's more, it was he who succeeded in securing financing for this feature film with a $1.1 million budget. He based the film on his family's experience of fraud in connection with the purchase of an outfitting operation. Filming took place in his hometown.
