Biography

Simon Wood is an award winning filmmaker based in Cape Town, South Africa. He is a director and multimedia artist known for Container (2021), Scenes from a Dry City (2018), Orbis (2014) and Forerunners (2011). His films have screened at the worlds largest film festivals and won numerous awards in Africa, Asia, Europe and North America. Wood places a strong emphasis on visual aesthetics blurring boundaries between fact and illusion
