Born and raised in the vibrant streets of New York City, David Chavez discovered the magic of cinema early on, a passion that propelled him to Full Sail University where he earned his Bachelor’s in Film in 2009. Now calling Colorado home, David currently runs video and photo for the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, bringing a high-level creative vision to the organization’s storytelling.
David’s career is defined by a rare versatility across the production spectrum. His professional journey includes camera work for high-stakes live broadcasts and major award shows like The X-Factor, the Soul Train Awards, and the Golden Globes, along with various large-scale concerts. His resume also boasts hands-on experience on the sets of blockbusters such as Iron Man 2 and Bad Boys 3, as well as work as a Colorist for PBS and Turner Classic Movies.
A dedicated leader in the creative community, David served as the Media Production Director for "Wake Up Pueblo" (born from Discovery Channel’s Undercover Billionaire) and co-founded two prominent ventures: the 72 Hour Kick Ass Film Fest and Maxxed Out Films. These platforms continue to provide a stage for independent filmmakers to showcase their creativity.
