Born in 1976, Roberts studied TV directing at the Latvian Academy of Culture.
Initially working in TV and advertising, he began making short and feature length documentaries, concurrently paving his way to becoming a prominent artistic director of cross-media cultural performances and video-art installations, collaborating with many well-known Latvian institutions and artists.
