Biography

Harpreet Sandhu (born in Rurka Kalan) is an Indian film actor who has appeared in some of Hollywood's major films including Star Trek Beyond (2016) along side Idris Elba and Oscar short-listed Canadian Film WWW: Work Weather Wife (2014) along side Reema Nagra.

Harpreet Sandhu is from a remote village from under foothills of Himalayas, named Rurka Kalan of Jalandhar district in northern state of East Punjab. After Graduating from High School in the Village he took up Bachelor's Degree in Computer Applications at Guru Nanak Dev University affiliate Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar in 1996 where he had bare minimum attendance due to his athletics career in Track and Field. Due to his strong ethical values, he abandoned his coach and went on to train by his own for tough disciplines of 800m and 1500m. Hence, he did not compete for his college rather represented his state and country winning numerous Sate, National and International medals from 1996-1999 (Representing Khalsa College, Amritsar (GNDU) 1999-2001). He was known for his competitive nature when being mere a 16 years old boy, he competed under men's section. After graduating in science from GNDU, he joined Khalsa College, Amritsar for a Master's degree in Politics and completed thesis on world politics.

After migrating to Canada he served in a Canadian Police Department where boredom lead him to acting endeavors. Known as the finest Indian descent actor in Canada, he is also known for donning various hats with flamboyance: actor, director, writer, music director, and producer. He played memorable role of a charming con artist, Vick in film WWW: Work Weather Wife (2014) which was short-listed at Golden Globes and Academy Awards for Best Film and Best Original Song in a feature film in year 2015.
