Virgil Abloh was an American fashion designer from Rockford, Illinois. Though he initially studied architecture, he started designing t-shirt and wrote on fashion during his studies. After his studies, he interned at Fendi together with Kayne West, with whom he later collaborated. In 2013, Virgil founded and become the CEO of Off-White, a Milan-based fashion house. Since 2018, Abloh was also acting artistic director of the Louis Vuitton menswear collection, and was the first person of African descent to helm the LV menswear line.
