Biography

Savion hails from Miami, Florida. He knew at age 7, that he wanted to spend a life in the theatre when he saw a production of "Noise N' Funk" featuring Savion Glover and he got to take a backstage tour. He obtained his BFA in Musical Theatre at the Chicago College of the Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. In his spare time Savion attends to his hobbies which include, Web Design and Programing, Aerial Circus Arts and updating his own website. Savion enjoys going to live theatre and films and spending time with the people that mean most to him: his family and friends. Above all, Savion is committed to a life in theatre as an artistic means to create a healthier and more aware society. Savion is an alumni of New World School of the Arts where he graduated with Cume Lade and Presidents Honors. Savion is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA.

Savion was recently featured at the Thespis Theatre Festival Awards Ceremony, where he was chosen to sing a selection from his new show, I WILL. Some of his episodic film credits include the Netflix Original Series "The Get Down".
