Casey O'Brien attended film school at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, where he lived for 17 years. He has directed several short films, web series, music videos, and commercials. He has also worked as a full-time podcast producer for Maximum Fun and Exactly Right. He moved back to Minneapolis in 2023 with his wife Tricia O'Brien and his shih tzu Dolly.
