Dashiell balanced many interests in sports, debate, music, and performance till his final years of high school where he prioritized all his efforts to his roles in school plays, Shakespearean competition pieces, and attaining a spot with his first acting agency to start work in local film. While still in high school he went to his first audition and found luck in being called-back, and narrowed to the final two considered for one of the lead roles in the Indie-comedy Unicorn City. Though he was not chosen, the director and producer brought him back for a smaller role. He graduated high school and sought training, studying with professors at BYU, UVU, WSU, but finally finding a home with the Meisner professor of Rutgers, Richie Call. In the following summer he took a break from University to appear in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Hale Centre Theatre. While performing full time for Hale Centre, he was chosen through auditions for two lead roles back to back, first to play Karle-Heinz Schnibbe in the WWII true-story of Helmuth Hubener, Resistance Movement, and second to play Fitzgerald Jennings (Fitch) in the indie-comedy Chick Magnets. He continued performing for Hale Centre Theatre through spring 2013, till he was cast as a lead role, Elder Johnson, in the film Inspired Guns. He also made appearances in films, The Last Scout, Alienate, and The Rehearsal.
