  • American actor Cory Michael Boughton was born in Dayton, Ohio to Jacqueline Joanne Boughton, a hair stylist and personal trainer and Harold "Bud" Boughton, an educator, college football coach and professional speaker with familial roots in Buffalo, NY. As a child, he grew up in Central Florida where he excelled in academics and athletics, mainly lacrosse where he received a varsity letter award in his first year. He holds a BA from UCF and is a triple major, focusing on Theatre, Anthropology and Creative Writing.

    A gifted student with a passion for performance, he has been acting since an early age. After years of child acting, he returned to the stage in 2003 while living in Asheville, NC and spent the next several years focused on writing, theatre, independent film and TV. He also spent several years being heavily involved in the Central Florida theatre scene and was a double nominee and won Best Actor in a Play at Breakthrough Theatre for his performance as George Bailey in It's A Wonderful Life: The Radio Play in 2012.

    He moved to NYC later that year where he began working with several theatre companies with prominent roles in productions such as Beautiful Soup Theatre Collective's off-Broadway revision of Moose Murders, the grizzled lead detective in RadiotheatreNYC's World Premiere of Murder on Broadway and the lead time-traveling scientist Dr. Patrick Tyler in Dysfuctional Theatre Co's World Premiere of Making History. He has also had the opportunity to play a myriad of characters for TV and Film including Dutch Schultz in AMC's Making of the Mob:NY, Asa Candler in History Channel's The Men Who Built America Season 3: The Food That Built America and the lead character, Cole Bowden in the upcoming feature film, Free the Airwaves. He lives in Asheville, NC.
