- Jane Kapriss was born in Kiev, Ukraine in a family of engineers and showed passion for acting at a young age. Jane's career started when she represented Ukraine at Miss Teen World and Miss Teen International following by winning multiple National and International awards for acting, modeling, dancing and playing the piano.
The multi-talented girl moved to New York to pursue her career and study acting which resulted not only in starring in multiple films, but also getting her Masters in Filmmaking and beginning to write, direct and produce.

- The first short film that Jane wrote, directed, produced and edited was screened at four film festivals.
- Jane received a Miss Fashion Award at the Miss Teen International Beaty Pageant as well as Best Ambassador Award at Miss Teen World.
- Jane won Grand Prix Best Actress Award at the Pearl of Ukraine Contest 2004.
- Jane's parents still argue about her first word since they both heard it differently. It wasn't mom or dad. In Russian language there are two words with the same pronunciation and just one different letter: "building crane" and "movie screen". Her father heard "building crane" and said that it was a sign that she'd become an engineer. Her mom heard "movie screen" and said that it was a sign that she'd become an actress.
