Mary Poplin was born in Charlotte, NC in 1983 and grew up around
Atlanta, Georgia. She attended The Savannah College of Art and design
and graduated in 2005 with top honors.
Since transplanting to Los Angeles in 2005, Mary has been a stereoscopic artist, compositor, matte painter, cleanplate artist, illustrator, and proficient rotopaint artist. She has completed the prerequisite Hollywood stint as an actress in short films and new media projects and continues to dabble in personal, new media, and indie film projects as a SAG member. Mary also makes handmade costumes, accessories, and props for her independent productions.
Mary lives in Santa Monica as of 2010 and makes her own content as a creative lead.
As a self-identified "nerd" and "gamer," Mary plays a lot of MMO RPGs, Tabletops, and is an avid LARPer; which has lead her to the Dying Kingdoms. She now helps run Dying Kingdoms LARP LLC as a private recreational LARP club in the greater Los Angeles area.
