Biography

Françoise Cachin was born on May 8, 1936 in Paris, France. She was married to Pierre Nora and Weil, Jean. She died on February 5, 2011.

Art historian, author and museum director, she is the granddaughter of Marcel Cachin and of painters Paul Signac (1863-1935) and Jeanne Selmersheim-Desgrange (1877-1958).
