Biography

Pastor Maldonado was born on March 9, 1985 in Maracay, Aragua, Venezuela.

Ex-Formula One racing driver, who raced for: Williams (2011 (19 GPs)-2012 (20 GPs)-2013 (19 GPs)) and Lotus (2014 (18 GPs)-2015 (19 GPs)). He started 95 Grands Prix, 1 Win, 1 Pole Position, 1 Podium and 76 Points. Best ranked in the World Championship: 14th in 2015.

2012 Spanish Grand Prix, Pastor Maldonado became the first Venezuelan driver to win, to stand on an Formula 1 podium and to start pole position.

Champion: GP2 Series (2010), Formula Renault 2.0 Italy (2004), Formula Renault 2.0 Italy Winter Cup (2003).

Teammates in Formula One were: Rubens Barrichello, Bruno Senna, Valtteri Bottas and Romain Grosjean.

Pastor Maldonado finished 9th place and scored 2 points at the 2014 United States Grand Prix, marking the first time the number 13 car in Formula 1 scored points.
