Christos Ketikidis is a filmmaker and writer from Thessaloniki, Greece. He graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with a degree in Chemical Engineering before studying film directing under Greek filmmaker Periklis Choursoglou. His first experiences with storytelling began in childhood through an apprenticeship with shadow theatre artist Giorgos Charidimos, followed by his own shadow puppet performances.
Later, he worked as the live announcer for an open-air cinema in Halkidiki, promoting its daily screenings throughout the region. Through hands-on experience, he developed a particular passion for film editing, which remains a defining element of his cinematic approach.
Alongside filmmaking, he is also a writer. He has co-written Pontic Greek stage plays and written lyrics for several songs.
He has lived and worked in Australia and Asia, experiences that broadened his perspective on people and storytelling.
