Biography

Sam Kelly is originally from St. Paul, Minnesota.

He was one of the top D-1 college hockey recruits in the country before moving to Los Angeles to pursue acting; recruited by the back to back D-1 national champion Minnesota Gophers, Wisconsin Madison, Harvard, Yale,Dartmouth and many others.

Was projected to play in the NHL at 23 years old; recruited by the Pittsburg Penguins, Columbus Blue Jackets, Phillidelphia Flyers, and Montreal Canadiens.

Nominated for Minnesota's prestigious Mr. Hockey award and named All-state while playing high school hockey in Minnesota for Hill Murray School.

While playing high school hockey in Minnesota, the Minnesota Wild (Minnesota's NHL team) invited him to participate in a skills competition with all the NHL players. He beat all of the NHL players except one and came with .01 of a second of beating the Wild club record, while still only 18 years old and in high school.

After high school, he played minor professional hockey in the USHL and NAHL, the United States premiere junior hockey leagues, until he was 21 years old.

After playing minor professional hockey, decided he wanted to pursue his life long dream of becoming an actor and play big parts in big movies.

Became close friends with legendary self esteem psychologist Nathaniel Branden; after reading most of his books he sought him out to learn from him and be mentored by him.

Trained professionally as an actor at The William Alderson Acting Studio in Hollywood, CA under legendary Meisner teacher, Bill Alderson, arguably the world's best Meisner teacher; whom was taught as an actor and teacher by Sanford Meisner himself. Studied with Bill for 3 years and completed the program in 2011. Continues his studies there in Bill's graduate/master class.
