Dan Gallun
- Actor
- Writer
- Producer
Raised in Wisconsin and a Midwesterner at heart, Dan Gallun brings an uncommon authenticity and groundedness to every role he inhabits. After studying theatre at Columbia College Chicago, he spent nearly a decade in Los Angeles building a career in television, film, and national commercial campaigns before settling in the Southeast with his wife and their two young children.
As an actor, Gallun's performances invite audiences to lean in rather than simply watch. His work is defined by an uncommon responsiveness, allowing every conversation to unfold with the feeling that each word genuinely changes him. He specializes in portraying thoughtful, capable men whose identities begin to fracture under extraordinary emotional pressure, finding the hurt hidden inside anger and the longing hidden inside pride. Whether playing a surgeon, a police officer, a grieving father, or a husband fighting to save a relationship, Gallun uncovers the emotional truth beneath the argument, revealing characters who aren't trying to dominate, but desperately trying to be understood. Rather than chasing dramatic moments, he trusts stillness, allowing realizations to unfold in real time and inviting audiences to experience them alongside him.
In addition to acting, Gallun is a screenwriter and producer currently developing a World War II prestige drama series, which he co-created and plans to produce and star in. Whether on screen or on the page, his work is drawn to stories of ordinary people confronting extraordinary moral and emotional choices. Gallun doesn't simply play complicated men. He makes audiences understand why they became that way.
