- Two time Emmy Award winning producer, Christa Morris started out working in local media for NBC, CBS, FOX, Univision, HTVN, and Azteca in Nashville, Miami, Dallas, Philadelphia, New York, and Los Angeles.
In February of 2010, realizing that traditional media needed to expand its vision, Christa approached Open Book Productions and Crystal Chappell to get a better understanding of the cutting edge new media being created and distributed on the web. This meeting lead to an opportunity for Christa to become Co-Ex Producer of Venice the Series, The Grove, and Beacon Hill. Her work resulted in two Daytime Emmys for the groundbreaking "Venice the Series", and a nomination for a third for Beacon Hill. In 2015 she got her first feature film producer credit for "A Million Happy Nows", and now works as a Development producer of scripted and unscripted original programming for Television, Documentaries, and Film.
A country kid through and through, Christa was raised in small-town America, moving every couple of years. She considers Dallas, Texas her hometown. Following in the footsteps of her grandfather, she's always felt very lucky in her life and career to have been befriended and mentored by the most amazing men and women who took the time to teach a country kid all that life has to offer and empowering her love for music, technology, and the entertainment industry.
