- With her magnetic presence & fierce dedication to honing her craft, CJ has captured audiences worldwide. A first-generation Nigerian-American actor, she began acting at age 11 and is thankful for the ability to continue sharing stories with audiences to this day. CJ is a formally trained artist who holds a B.A. in Theatre and Dance from the University of Texas at Austin, with additional training at Berg Studios and Will Wallace Acting Company in Los Angeles.
As a member of SAG-AFTRA, her notable film and TV credits include NBC's Grand Crew, BET+'s The Black Hamptons, and the feature film Trafficked, in which she portrays a victim of human trafficking. Recent theatre credits include August Wilson's Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, and Alexandre Dumas' The Great Lover, for which she received a 2026 NAACP Theatre Award nomination for Best Lead Actress.
One of CJ’s goals as an artist is to work on projects that raise awareness on important issues, and make a difference not only in people, but in the world.
