- Njel de Mesa (full name: Nathaniel de Mesa) is an award-winning writer-director, singer-songwriter, viral video artist and producer in the Philippines. He won "Best International Film Director" at the Jinseo Arigato International Film Festival in Japan. His notable works include: Coronaphobia, Mama San?, Malditas In Maldives, Must Give Us Pause, KontrAdiksyon (starring Jake Cuenca, Kris Bernal, Katrina Halili, Ritz Azul etc.), Respeto, and the 1st Prize Don Carlos Palanca Award-winning, Subtext etc.
He served as the Vice Chairman of the Movies Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB). Trained in Production design by Philippines' National Artist for Production Design, Salvador Bernal, "Direk Njel" is a published author and multi-Palanca Award winning writer. He holds influential positions in the entertainment industry working with Universal Records and BELL films and was a part of the board of directors of ALIW awards (Philippines' Premiere Award-giving body for Live Entertainment), FILSCAP, a director in PAGCOR (Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation) Entertainment Department, and the President-CEO of NDMstudios, one of the most reputable film studios in the Philippines that won "Best Independent Film Studio" from various international award-giving body in Hongkong, Japan, and the Philippines.
