Sophie Averkamp is a film, theater and tv director. She lives in Hamburg and is represented by the Patric Adam, Adam Agency, Berlin. She is a member of the BVR and QMS. Averkamp studied theater, film, and media studies in Vienna and directing at the HFF Munich. She graduated in 2020 with "Wie wir leben wollen" engl title: As you like it - won best director, Blaue Blume Award. Grimme Prize 2025 for "Kroymann - ist die noch gut" engl title: Kroymann - Is She Still Good? btf I ARD - Topic: Age discrimination in the media industry. Tragicomic storytelling suits her.
