- Kari Lövaas was born on May 13, 1939 in Skien, Norway. She was an actress, known for Auf den Spuren von Richard Wagners Tristan und Isolde (1973) and Wenn die anderen Feiern - Geschichten von Sternen, Stars und einfachen Leuten (1966). She was married to Manfred Gerber. She died on April 24, 2025 in Zürich, Switzerland.

- Studied in Vienna at the Musikakademie in 1960-63.
- In 1955 she was accepted by the Oslo Conservatory of Music, aged 16, studying under the mentorship of Ingeborg Vorbeck.
- In 1970, Løvaas participated in the Bergen and Salzburg Festivals . She has had a number of radio and television appearances in Norway and other European countries and made over 30 recordings.
- Løvaas studied at the Oslo Conservatory of Music.
- Made her opera debut as "Nuri" in Eugen d'Albert's Tiefland in the opening performance at the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet on 16 February 1959 on the recommendation of Kirsten Flagstad who had sung the same role for her debut.
