Biography

Gissette Valentin is an American actress, writer, and producer working across action, drama, and comedy.

She portrays FBI Agent Desiree Walton on Ruthless, a Paramount+ series where she joined the main cast in season four. Her television work also includes Corporal Diane Pierce on The Walking Dead: World Beyond and Cherry on Claws, with additional appearances in The Rookie, 9-1-1: Nashville, Cobra Kai, and Will Trent.

Her feature film credits include Red One, The Tomorrow War, and Bad Boys for Life, performing opposite Dwayne Johnson, Lucy Liu, and Chris Pratt.

Valentin began her career as a professional dancer, working for over a decade with credits including America’s Best Dance Crew, performances at the CMA Awards alongside Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan, and touring with Zac Brown. She later trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London, studied with Larry Moss, and continued her work at The Groundlings.

As a writer and producer, Valentin created and starred in the sci-fi short Turing opposite Jacob Bertrand. The film earned recognition at the Los Angeles Film Awards and multiple national and international festivals, including a Best Actress award for her lead performance as Maida Vale.
