Biography

Nate Clark is a political scientist, comedian, and creative director based in Los Angeles. He is a PhD candidate in the Department of Political Science at UCLA, where he studies political communication, public opinion, and political psychology in American politics. He is a former affiliate of the Center for American Political Studies at Harvard University, where he earned a Master of Liberal Arts in Government.

Before entering academia, Clark spent two decades as an actor, independent creative director, and filmmaker, producing commercial content for global brands including Louis Vuitton, Cartier, and the New York Times. As a performer, he is an alumnus of the Groundlings Sunday Company and a longtime performer at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. He is known for the viral YouTube video "I Towed Joey Graceffa's Car," which earned over 3 million views, and for the musical parody Making a Murder: The Musical at UCB.

Clark's academic research draws directly on his entertainment background, examining how media shapes political attitudes, including the influence of short-form video on immigration enforcement opinions, public responses to climate policy, and the intersection of comedy and political culture in the Trump era.
