- John Cico was a member of the nationally ranked Fayetteville Manlius (F-M) Cross Country team in high school. As a member of the F-M Cross Country team he participated in the Nike Cross Country Nationals in 2008.
- Johnny Cico directed his first film at age 6 when he reconstructed, staged and acted in his own remake of Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark. His next film was a short remake of Godzilla vs. King Kong when he was 7.
