Biography

Michael Sean Murphy is known for To Hell and Back (2009). He has been married to Carrie Faye since May 15, 1993. They have two children.

In the 2012 Sluka Awards, (Visalia, CA) out of 4 nominees for Best Actor, Michael Murphy was nominated 3 times. He won for his portrayal of The Old Man/Narrator in "James and the Giant Peach." Also nominated were Justin Allen as Fred Gailey (Miracle on 34th Street), Michael Murphy as Captain Spyglass (The Little Mermaid), and Michael Murphy as Gepetto (Pinnochio).

Michael Murphy's was cast in the role of Gepetto, in the Enchanted Playhouse Theatre's 2012 Production of Pinnochio, only 21 hours before opening night--after the previously cast actor dropped out of the show for personal reasons. His performance earned him a Sluka Award nomination for Best Actor.
