Biography

Edie Pilar Monroy is a New York-bred, Los Angeles-based actress, writer, and producer creating bold, culturally driven stories across film, television, and theater. A 2025 Eastside Arts Initiative grant recipient, she wrote, produced, and stars in Anima Intervention: The Miraculous Undoing of Pola Torres, a magical realism comedy now in post-production. Her co-created sci-fi comedy short Mail Order Bestie won top awards at Silicon Beach Film Festival and Lift-Off, and was selected for the 2026 New York Lift-Off Film Festival. Her sci-fi comedy Solar Flare Fiesta earned a playwright grant at Teatro Frida Kahlo, and she wrote, produced, and starred in Quantum of Trouble, a Frida Kahlo 10-Minute Play Festival production grant recipient.She stars as Camilla in the vertical series Ex-Wives Club (WOCU Productions).
