Biography

Michael spent his childhood in both the USA and Russia. While studying for a MA in Psychology at Moscow State University he started to work in film.

Prior to movies, Michael directed commercials and music videos.

Since Russia’s full scale-invasion into Ukraine and the political backlash to the release of his adaptation of "The Master and Margarita", seen by the state as critical of the regime, Michael has been based in LA.
