Biography

Sandra Alland is a filmmaker, writer, and interdisciplinary artist. Her films have screened at Tate Modern (London), San Francisco Transgender Film Festival, Glasgow Gallery of Modern Art, Entzaubert Film Festival (Berlin), macrobert (Stirling), and Midlands Art Centre (Birmingham). In 2013, Sandra received a Scottish arts commission to begin work on a short documentary series about queer and trans Deaf and disabled artists in Scotland. She has continued to develop the 'I'm Not Your Inspiration' series independently, and has to date created four short films for this project. Sandra curates the long-running Scottish visual art and performance series, Cachín Cachán Cachunga!
