Mini bio

  • Andrew Donoho is an American director, writer, and visual effects supervisor. Andrew grew up in Atlanta making short films at a young age. After attending NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Andrew began his career supervising visual effects on Atlanta based commercials, movies, and television shows like Donald Glover's Emmy-Award winning series "Atlanta". The dozens of projects were an opportunity to study under a variety of acclaimed directors, allowing him to confidently move into a full-time directing career in 2014. He created renowned videos and films for Paul McCartney, Gwen Stefani, Michael Buble, The Strokes, Janelle Monte, Bella Poarch, 21 Savage, Lil Nas X and dozens of others. He won his first MTV Video Music Award in 2016 for directing "Heathens" for twenty one pilots, a second in 2017 for "heavydirtysoul", and has since brought home dozens of international accolades and over 10 billion views on over 100 music videos and commercials. A story-driven, character focused approach to music videos has established him in the industry as an essential collaborator among musicians and agencies looking for high-end narrative productions. After directing a handful of long-form music projects like "Dirty Computer" for Janelle Monae, Andrew has begun to shift his focus towards feature films and television. As of 2024, Andrew is attached to three different independent films with the hopes of releasing his first movie in 2025.
