Karla Esquivel(I)

Karla Esquivel is a freelance nonfiction television producer and a member of the Producers Guild of America and the Television Academy, with over 14 years of experience in the industry. Her work includes the PSW Emmy-nominated Live at the Belly Up! (Outstanding Arts/Entertainment Program, 2014), as well as Emmy-nominated series such as Messi’s World Cup: The Rise of a Legend, which received a 2024 Sports Emmy nomination for Best Documentary Series (Serialized), and El Corazón de Sergio Ramos, a 2020 Daytime Emmy nominee for Outstanding Spanish-Language Entertainment Program. Originally from Tijuana, Mexico, Karla earned a Bachelor of Science in film and television production from San Diego State University and has built a successful career producing nonfiction content across U.S. and international productions.
