- American actor and Los Angeles-based film producer Chris Grant Wenchell is best known for his recurring role on the CBS daytime drama The Young and the Restless (1973). He guest starred as Arson Gallegos, an ex-con running a chop shop, in the CBS network drama FBI: Most Wanted (2020) - Shattered (2022), and co-starred as crooked cop Rick Croyer in the ABC network drama The Rookie (2018) - Labor Day (2022). He has also appeared in a Budweiser Super Bowl commercial.
Chris Grant Wenchell trained at the Maggie Flanigan Studio in New York City, where he mastered the Meisner Technique under one of the most rigorous acting programs in the country. He later continued his development under award-winning writer/director Robert McAndrew at the Bob McAndrew Studio.
Born and raised on Long Island, Wenchell is a lifelong creative, musician, athlete, and storyteller. He studied computer animation at the Fashion Institute of Technology before the pull of performance brought him fully into acting. He built his early career in indie films and commercials in New York City before relocating to Los Angeles, where his credits include the sci-fi series Olympia (2012) directed by Hisonni Mustafa and Michael Sarnoski, alongside a diverse slate of film and television work spanning drama, thriller, and action.
Beyond acting, Chris Grant Wenchell is the founder of XXII Pictures, an independent Los Angeles production company with completed features and new projects in active development, a dimension of his career that informs every role he takes on screen.
