  • Over the last decade, Simon has firmly established himself as a prominent Music Editor within Toronto's burgeoning film industry.

    After receiving his Bachelors of Music with a focus in composition from Humber College he began working under multi-award winning film composer Todor Kobakov (Bitten, Cardinal); where he worked on many Feature Films, T.V Shows, and assisted in orchestral arrangements for some of Canada's most influential artists such as Emily Haines, K-OS, Dan Mangan, Lights, and Whitehorse.

    Since then Simon has worked as a Music Editor on films scored by some of Hollywood's finest composers including Mark Isham, Charlie Clouser, David Newman, Danny Bensi, Saunder Jurriaans, and Roger Bellon. His credits include major motion pictures such as Spiral (Chris Rock, Samuel L Jackson), Siberia (Keanu Reeves), J.T Leroy (Kristen Stewart, Laura Dern, Diane Kruger), and A Family Man (Gerrard Butler, Alison Brie, Willem Dafoe) to name a few. His T.V credits include hit shows such as Ransom (CBS), DOC (FOX), Sight Unseeen (CTV), Holly Hobbie (Family Channel) and Northern Rescue (CBC) among others.

    As a composer Simon has written for Film, T.V, Web Series, Commercials and more. He scored Martine Blue's debut feature film, Hunting Pignut (Taylor Hickson, Joel Hynes) and recently finished the six part series Floating After Farley debuting on Bell T.V.

    He is a graduate of BMI's prestigious Film Composers Workshop in NYC directed by composer Rick Baitz (Juilliard School), and is currently finishing his Masters of Music at York University with a focus on composition.

    In addition to keeping a busy schedule as a Music Editor and Film Composer Simon is currently recording his first solo album as a band leader which will feature 9 original instrumental compositions for guitar trio due for release in 2026.
