Johanna Kristiina "Lumi" Tuominen is a Finnish multilingual actress based in London, known for her roles in Sky’s crime drama Temple, alongside Mark Strong, and the BBC series This Is Going to Hurt, starring Ben Whishaw. Her work spans film, television and theatre across Europe and the United States.
Lumi trained at Voionmaa Film School in Finland before studying acting at the New York Film Academy in New York on a talent-based scholarship, where she performed off-Broadway. She later graduated with First Class Honours in Performing Arts in the UK.
Her film credits include an independent short Maiken, for which she received a Best Actress of the Future nomination at the Cannes World Film Festival. She has also appeared in international musical theatre productions and worked behind the camera as a second assistant director and casting assistant.
Alongside acting, Lumi is a producer and member of the main cast of Ward B, a female-led Nordic medical drama currently in development.
